The top 10 players in the qualifiers for each category will participate in this stage, and the Serbian Branko Petrovic, the Croatian Domir Sobat, the Ukrainian Victor Reshetnyak, the Slovenian Samo Yaranko, the Egyptian Tamer Adel, the South African Dieter Bosseger, the Iranian Abdul Rahman Ahmed, will participate in this stage. Hamad Al-Rahumi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, stressed that the good numbers that have been achieved, and the wide participation from various countries of the world and from the countries of the Cooperation Council in addition to local participation, is a positive thing in light of the current health conditions, and the commitment to apply precautionary measures.
He added: We thank all the work teams that help us achieve success in the championship, through lifeguards from the Dubai Police, the refereeing team from the Swimming Association, as well as those in charge of the Hamdan Sports Complex.
A young citizen, Abdullah Al-Hussam, who works as a civil engineer, appeared among the participants, and said: I am participating for the second time in the championship.
Those who love diving find the ability and time to continue their training despite the Corona pandemic, and I seek to excel in this heritage sport that we are proud of as it is linked to our heritage and our customs for hundreds of years. The championship succeeded in attracting the rising generation through the influx of many young divers, including Khaled Omar (15 years old) and Muhammad Karam (13 years old). .
The two youngsters considered that the love of swimming attracted them to try free diving out of love to learn about this heritage sport, and try to learn its skills in the long term, expressing their thanks to the organizing committee for the establishment of this type of tournament.
