Mubasher: Factory orders in Germany rose by more than analysts’ expectations in January, with a strong increase in foreign orders.
Data issued by the Federal Statistics Authority in Germany showed, today, Friday, that factory orders in the country rose by 1.4 percent during last January, with a seasonally adjusted reading, compared to a decline of 1.9 percent recorded in the previous month..
Analysts had estimated that German factory orders would rise by 0.4 percent over the same period.
According to the data, domestic orders decreased by 2.6 percent in January on a monthly basis, while foreign orders witnessed an increase of 4.2 percent..
On an annual basis, factory orders in Europe’s largest economy rose 2.5 percent in January.
