Epic Games’ case against Apple will take place in the real world, not digitally

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez announced that the trial of Epic Games against Apple will be held in the real world in the presence of legal persons and will not be conducted digitally.

And as you know, it is scheduled to start in May 2021.

The judge said the case was important enough for the court to hear the rumors from the people themselves.

The judge requested all witnesses to travel to Northern California to answer questions that will be posed by the court.

Naturally, Ms. Gonzalez emphasized that the court is seeking to implement measures to preserve the safety and health of participants, including setting limits on the number of persons authorized to be in the courtroom.

Despite this, the judge left the door open to the possibility of holding the trial via ZOOM calls in a digital format, with a stop to the number of announced infections with the new Corona virus in the United States of America in May 2021.

In all cases, the case will not be postponed in any way and will be held on that date, whatever it is.

And Epic had violated its agreement with Apple and provided direct payments within the game “Fortnite” that prevented the latter from obtaining the agreed 30 percent rate; This caused Fortnite to be removed from the App Store, and Epic filed a monopoly suit at the latter.

It is noteworthy that this Fortnite issue may have serious repercussions for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
