Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the launch of a campaign to vaccinate citizens with chronic diseases and the elderly, with the first dose of Corona virus vaccines.
The vaccination began in the medical center in the Katameya area of Cairo governorate, in the presence of the representative of “UNICEF” in Egypt, and a number of officials of the Ministry of Health.
The Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed his keenness to attend the first day of the vaccination campaign with the first dose of Corona virus vaccines from citizens, which is taking place at the level of the Republic, pointing out that during the last period he had already started vaccinating medical teams and health care teams in hospitals in all governorates of the Republic.
He explained that today we are witnessing the start of the vaccination of the first group of our elderly relatives and those with chronic diseases, such as kidney failure and other diseases, with the available vaccines against the virus, indicating that the state is currently securing the largest amount of doses of these vaccines from all factories and companies, Whose vaccine has been approved by the Egyptian Drug Authority.
For her part, the Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, explained that Egypt is the first country to start the vaccination campaign with the new Corona virus vaccines in the African continent, and it is also the first country to receive the vaccine on the continent.
