Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, honored the young ballet performer, 17-year-old Luca Abdel-Nour, for winning second place in the Prix de Lausanne competition in Switzerland, which is one of the most important ballet competitions in the world, as it is the first Egyptian to be chosen to participate In the competitions that brought together the best 20 specialists around the world, in the presence of his parents, with Dr. Magdy Saber, President of the Egyptian Opera House.

Enas Abdel Dayem congratulated Luka and said that he is an honorable example for talented young people that the country is proud of, adding that his winning the award comes as an announcement of the joining of a new ambassador to Egypt’s soft powers abroad and an expression of Egyptian excellence internationally in various fields, and confirmed the fertility of the creative land of Egypt, which has become a source He has been a pioneer since ancient times, and has also praised his family’s sponsorship of his talent from his beginnings and their encouragement for him to become a professional despite his young age.

It is noteworthy that Luca Abdel Nour, born in 2003, enrolled in an international school, and then his physical skills appeared that qualified him to study in a number of academies specialized in ballet art in Egypt, Switzerland and Hungary, and he studied at the hands of a group of the most important performers in the world.

He also participated in many workshops, including master’s classes in Prague – a workshop with Francisco Anorma – Spring course at the International Ballet School in Munich – a summer course at the Vienna State Opera – long-term scholarships at the Taz Academy in Zurich (Switzerland) – a course at the Prince’s Academy (Greece) – an academy course Hungarian dance, Munich International School of Ballet, and others. He participated in many classical and contemporary performances in various theaters in the countries in which he studied.
