The “Siniora” Food Industries Company, one of the Palestinian “APEC” group companies, announced its acquisition of the Turkish “Trakia” company for the meat industry, for $ 28.3 million.
Siniora said in a statement, Tuesday, that it “launched its operations in the Turkish Republic after the acquisition of the Turkish Meat Industry Company, owner of the Polonez trademark, in a deal valued at $ 28.3 million.”
The statement stated that the “Siniora” unit in Jordan acquired a 77 percent stake in the Turkish company, without specifying the date for the transaction.
Siniora is a subsidiary of the Arab Palestinian Investment Group “APIC Holding”, with its headquarters in Jerusalem, and has activities in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates.
“APIC” Chairman and Chairman of “Siniora” Tariq Al-Akkad said that its acquisition of the Turkish company is a qualitative addition to Siniora.
He added that the company plans to expand and increase its regional and international market share, by expanding production lines in its existing factories, and targeting new markets.
“The Turkish market will be a basic pillar for Siniora’s products to reach European and international markets,” Akkad said.
Siniora is a public shareholding company listed on the Jordanian Stock Exchange.
