Wall Street is at new levels and bond yields are rising

The main indicators on Wall Street hit record highs at the start of the trading session on Tuesday, as investors bought stocks sensitive to the economic cycle, due to hopes of more financial support to pull the world’s largest economy out of a recession triggered by the Corona virus pandemic.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.04 percent at the open to 31,472.08 points, while the benchmark S&P 500 index rose 0.12 percent to 3,939.61 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 0.40 percent to 14,152.22 points.
In addition, the yield on US 30-year Treasury bonds settled above 2% on Tuesday morning, after the Presidents’ Day holiday.
The yield on the 10-year Treasury rose to 1,232%, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury rose to 2.029%. It is indicated that the yield moves against the price.
Return levels were high as investors continue to monitor the progress of US President Joe Biden’s $ 1.9 trillion stimulus package, in addition to the introduction of the Corona vaccine in the country. (Agencies)
