Saudi Arabia faces Kuwait cordially | Gulf newspaper


The Saudi Football Association announced that its first team will play a friendly match against its Kuwaiti counterpart on March 25th at Marsool Park Stadium in Riyadh. This is in preparation for facing the Palestine national team in its 30th, as part of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The French coach, Herve Renard, seeks to determine the readiness of his players before returning to the official matches, by setting up a preparatory camp in the city of Riyadh that starts on March 22 until the match with the Palestine national team.
The Saudi national team camp comes within the official international days of FIFA, which the two teams seek to benefit from by standing on the technical levels of the players.
On Wednesday, the Saudi Federation announced that its Palestinian counterpart had agreed to advance the date of their match to March 30 in Saudi Arabia instead of the previous date on June 7.
Saudi Arabia ranks second in Group D with 8 points, one point behind leaders Uzbekistan. But he played a lesser game, while Palestine trailed the group with 4 points.
For his part, the Kuwaiti national team ranks second in their group with 10 points, equal to Jordan, two points difference, and a match in excess of leaders Australia.
