The Saudi Public Prosecution has warned against spreading rumors and spreading false information and news aimed at misleading society or compromising its health and community security.

It emphasized that it is forbidden to produce, prepare, send or store rumors that would harm the public order through the information network or one of the computers.

It indicated that its penalties amount to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 3 million riyals, and publishing a summary of the judgment in newspapers at the expense of the convicted person, in addition to confiscating the devices used in the crime or closing the website or the account used or the place of service provided whenever the crime was committed with the knowledge of its owner, confirming That anyone who incited, helped, or agreed to commit any of these criminal acts will be punished.
