The Toyota East Rally International will be the third round of the season of the 2021 Alba Rally World Cup, after it was approved last October by the International Automobile Federation as part of the global series calendar, so the race will appear for the first time on its tour schedule, and the race will be the first round of Saudi Toyota Desert Rally Championship.
It is expected that the elite drivers of the World Cup Rally Championship will participate in the race despite the surrounding circumstances due to the emerging Corona virus pandemic, as the Organizing Committee, in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and the competent authorities, will take the necessary precautionary and preventive measures and implement the approved health protocols to ensure a safe race for all participants and organizers.
Regarding the Kingdom’s hosting of the Eastern Toyota Rally as part of the Alba Rally World Cup, Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, said: “We will strive to work on the continuation of the success of global motor sport events in the Kingdom.”
The Eastern Toyota Rally – which is supervised by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and the Ministry of Sports – is considered the second Saudi rally in the World Cup series of Alba Rally Championships.
