As a first step, the group’s first store is fully managed by a female staff, in addition to being a pioneering initiative among all hypermarket commercial markets in the Kingdom, and Lulu confirms its commitment to the economic empowerment of Saudi women in line with the Vision 2030 plan.
The store occupies a location near King Abdulaziz University and covers an area of 37,000 square feet. The 20th Express store in Saudi Arabia is home to a wide range of global sources, such as food staples, fresh foods, health and beauty, household items and many more.
For his part, the regional director of Lulu Saudi Arabia, Shaheem Mohammed, said: We are proud to announce the first store managed by our female team, from the general manager to the treasurers, which indicates our efforts to empower more Saudi women in the workforce.
He added: At the moment, we employ 3000 Saudi citizens in addition to 800 women in all supermarkets across the Kingdom with various positions, and our goal is to encourage more women in our institution to ensure the economic participation of Saudi women.
