German Jurgen Klopp, the coach of Liverpool, confirmed his desire for the Egyptian international, Mohamed Salah, the star of the team, to remain among the Reds for a very long time, in light of the speculation raised about his future, indicating that his personal numbers speak for themselves.
Klopp said, in statements reported by the British newspaper “Daily Mail”: “It is a bit embarrassing when I have to praise my players, but I like to do it to be honest, and especially in the case of Mohamed Salah, the numbers speak for themselves.”
The Liverpool coach went on to praise the great level that Salah offers, saying: “Mohamed Salah is not just a top scorer, he has evolved as a footballer as well, he is a very important player for us, and I hope he will remain that way for a very long time of course.”
Last December, Salah opened the door to the possibility of leaving Liverpool in the coming period, describing the Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona as “two great teams,” adding that no one knows what will happen in the future.
It is reported that Mohamed Salah, 28, exceeded his goals last season after scoring 24 goals in all competitions during the current season 2020/2021, and the Egyptian star is currently top scorer in the Premier League with 17 goals.
