The Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs, Ali Al-Ayed, announced that the authorities decided to impose a comprehensive curfew, starting from ten in the evening on Thursday and until six in the morning on Saturday of every week.
The Jordanian News Agency quoted Al-Ayed as saying that this procedure will continue “until further notice.”
He added that the authorities had ordered “the allocation of an hour to perform Friday prayers on foot, to be determined by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places.”
Al-Ayed announced, on Saturday, the suspension of opening any new sectors in light of the increasing number of Coronavirus infections.
Today, Wednesday, Jordan recorded 22 deaths and 4,024 cases of corona, bringing the total number to 4,611 deaths and 376,441 injuries.
The vaccination campaign against the Corona virus began in Jordan on January 13th, after the arrival of quantities of the Chinese “Sinopharm” vaccine and the American-German “Pfizer-Biontech” vaccine.
