Apple recorded a rise in shipments of iPhone 12 phones during the last quarter of 2020, as Gartner’s report indicated that Apple shipments reached 80 million units during the previous quarter, so Apple outperformed Samsung in smartphone shipments.
The Gartner report showed that Samsung achieved the best shipments in smartphones in 2020, but it witnessed an annual decline in sales by 14.6%, as a result of the marked decrease in shipments of the company’s phones during the last quarter, which decreased by 11.8% compared to the same quarter in previous years.
On the other hand, Apple witnessed an increase in shipments of iPhones by 14.9% during the last quarter of 2020, and achieved an annual increase in sales of 3.3%.
The Gartner report also indicated that the iPhone 12 series contributed significantly to the recovery of sales of iPhone phones during the last quarter of 2020, along with the increase in the cost of the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 phones that Samsung issued during the past year, while expectations indicate that the Galaxy S21 series will achieve results Best this year for Samsung.
