The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology announced the launch of the “Industry Future Dialogue” initiative, which aims to enhance government coordination with the largest and most important national and international companies operating in the main industrial sectors in the UAE.
And that is through interactive meetings with the leaders of the industrial sector, in which His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the leaders of the ministry, will participate over the coming months.
The initiative comes within the Ministry’s endeavor to strengthen the relationship with the industrial sector system and establish a new phase of cooperation and building sustainable partnerships, in addition to developing future visions to meet challenges and create legal, technical and administrative solutions to empower the industrial sector and sustain its development and contribute to the UAE’s realization of its global leadership in the post-pandemic recovery phase. The initiative started with the ministry’s meeting with companies specialized in heavy industries such as minerals and construction, where His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, met with leaders and work teams of major national companies operating in the sector at the state level and abroad, headed by Abdel Nasser bin Kalban, Executive Director. He stressed that launching this initiative is in line with the leadership’s vision of joining efforts, and his Excellency praised the efforts of companies specialized in heavy industries and the role they play in upgrading the national industry, and their important role in building a knowledge-based economy, where heavy industries in the country contribute more than 66% Of the total contribution of the industrial sector to the country’s GDP.
His Excellency said: “Providing the capabilities to support vital industrial sectors represents a major pillar for building an advanced industrial system that establishes an innovative national model capable of achieving the vision of wise leadership.”

He indicated that the ministry is laying the foundations for the formation of national industrial work systems that forward the future and are able to attract investments and talents and are based on innovation and localization of knowledge, and contribute to enhancing self-sufficiency of products, in addition to creating work environments based on advanced technologies to ensure the highest safety and security standards and to enhance productivity, efficiency and quality of work.
