So, before deciding to buy a microSD card from an e-commerce site, you can stop for a while to search for the brand of the card or the company that makes it, as companies such as: Huawei of China do not manufacture microSD cards to sell to consumers directly, they make Nano cards designed for users of their phones Just nothing else, in addition to that, there are companies that manufacture microSD cards but with rather small storage capacities, such as Verbatim.

How can you check for fake microSD card?
If you have already purchased a microSD card previously from any e-commerce site or from a local vendor in your area, or you decide to buy a new card, there are some tools that allow you to perform some checks to determine the true capacity of the card through a computer before using it in your phone, including:

1- FakeFlashTest:
The FakeFlashTest tool allows you to run two tests to quickly verify whether the microSD card is fake or not, the first test is called (Quick Size Test) where the tool transfers files of 512 bytes in random sections of the card from your device and then reads them, and if the write and reading process fails, They are displayed in the log. If you prefer a stronger analysis, Test Empty Space moves files over all available space on the card, reads them again, then compares the difference.

2- ChipGenius tool:
The (ChipGenius) tool differs from the previous tool, in that instead of transferring data from your device to the card and reading it again, it reads the information directly from the flash memory inside the card, so ChipGenius is by far the fastest option.

After running the tool (ChipGeniu) scroll down to the detailed information, somewhere in the information you will find the total capacity = 16 GB, or whatever the actual capacity of the microSD card you purchased.
