“Government Relations in Sharjah” is considering establishing a branch for the French Cultural Association Institute

The Department of Government Relations in Sharjah discussed with representatives of the French Cultural Association Institute the establishment of a branch of the institute in Sharjah with the aim of promoting the exchange of cultural experiences and consolidating civilizational ties, in addition to providing more academic and knowledge programs in the emirate in support of learning languages ​​and identifying components and cultures of peoples.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Head of the Government Relations Department in Sharjah, Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi, Director of the Government Relations Department in Sharjah, and Mohammed Baladjoudi, Director and General Delegate in the Middle East at the French Association Institute, participated in the meeting.
This meeting comes as a continuation and follow-up to the outcomes of a previous meeting that brought together Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi, Director of the Government Relations Department, Sadiq Mahmoud Abu Sneina, Legal Adviser in the Legal Department of the Government of Sharjah, Muhammad Baladjoudi, Director and General Delegate in the Middle East at the French League Institute, and Hugo Henry-Celan, Adviser for Cooperation and Cultural Work At the institute; And Anne Dwyer Banny, deputy director of the “French League Institute” in the UAE, is an assistant advisor for cooperation and cultural work, as they discussed ways to enhance cultural and academic cooperation between the two sides.
The delegation of the French Association Institute also visited the University of Sharjah after the meeting and learned about the advanced and sophisticated academic environment it provides, as well as the activities that support the role of academic institutions in promoting the components of the development project of the emirate.
Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi pointed out that the Emirate of Sharjah has a long history of cultural relations with the cities of the French Republic at various levels, explaining that the establishment of a branch of the French Association Institute in Sharjah enriches the cultural scene in the emirate.
The French delegation appreciated the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah and the movement it leads at all levels to open channels of communication with various countries of the world, especially at the level of culture, literature and art, appreciating its keenness to introduce the population of the UAE to the diversity of human cultures by welcoming and encouraging it to build cultural centers for countries of the world.
