The General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai organized a virtual forum entitled “Academic Innovation”, which was organized within the activities of the Emirates Innovation Month under the slogan “The Emirates Innovates 2021”. The forum aims to consolidate and spread the culture of innovation and enhance the role of Dubai in community participation in the Emirates.
The forum included a panel discussion in which Dr. Hanan Abdullah Al-Marzouqi, Director of Corporate Governance and Compliance Department, addressed the Governance and Innovation Axis, and Captain Dr. Sheikha Adel Noori, Deputy Director of Services and Maintenance Department, the Smart Driver Axis, and Captain Dr. Reem Abdel Aziz, Deputy Procurement and Contracts Department, The Innovation and Creativity Hub in Procurement Management, managed by Salha Obaid of Dubai Residence.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Hanan Abdullah Al-Marzouqi spoke about the UAE’s progress in the Global Innovation Index for the year 2020, and its preservation of the first place in the Arab world for the fifth year in a row. The country and abroad, Emirati women have become, thanks to God, and thus the support of the wise leadership, an integral part in achieving state-building strategies and achieving its vision.
Ilham Ahli, Director of the Creativity and Innovation Center in Dubai Residence, affirmed the administration’s keenness to participate annually in this national event that seeks to highlight pioneering innovative initiatives and projects in the country, stressing the importance of these sessions that support the sustainability of institutional innovation and reflect the administration’s keenness to systematically innovate practices in Governmental work.
