In the article posted on the official PlayStation Blog, Hideaki Nishino, Vice President of Platform Development and Planning, wrote a note to the players in which he wrote the following::
Please note that the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake is available to PlayStation Plus subscribers Non Eligible for PS5 upgrade.
In other words, this means that if you add this RPG action game to your PS Plus library on PlayStation 4, you will have to purchase it again if you want to play the updated version on PlayStation 5.
However, if you don’t care about the features and improvements that Square Enix added in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, you can simply add the game to the PlayStation Plus library on the PlayStation 4 and play it at a later time on the PlayStation 5 via Backward Compatibility– But without the enhancements and additional expansion.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be released on June 10 on PS5 and will not only support 4K and 60 frame rates, but also an all-new add-on episode that introduces Yuffie and enables it to play.
