17 giant marine vessels from 10 countries dock in Abu Dhabi


The second batch of giant naval military units arrived in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, participating in the sixth edition of the Naval Defense Exhibition “NAVDEX”, which is held in conjunction with the International Defense Exhibition “IDEX 2021” and begins its activities tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

Twelve gigantic military naval pieces among the units participating in the Naval Defense Exhibition “NAVDEX 2021” were docked in the Special Offer Zone at Zayed Port and the dock opposite to the “ADNEC” platform, bringing the total of the giant naval units participating in the “NAVDEX Exhibition 2021” to 17 naval pieces from 10 Countries around the world. The reception committees of the UAE Armed Forces welcomed the naval units participating in NAVDEX 2021 through a presentation by the UAE Military Band during the berthing of ships on the pier amid a great reception and welcome from the UAE Navy, as part of the maritime protocols followed during the reception of the marine units in the presence of a number of officials in the armed forces .

Marine Brigadier General Fahd Nasser Saif Al-Dhahli, the official spokesman for the Naval Defense Exhibition “NAVDEX 2021”, said that the marine units participating in the current session of the exhibition “NAVDEX” from the countries of “the Emirates, the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, America, Pakistan, Britain, Bangladesh, Italy, South Africa, India and Greece”, which reflects the importance of the exhibition. NAVDEX has highlighted the maritime defense and security industries as one of the most important events affecting this vital sector. The UAE will participate in NAVDEX 2021 with many companies specialized in maritime security technology, in addition to multi-purpose boats, and new naval military units will be launched.
