Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller did not adjust to the post-match feelings, after his team were eliminated from the second round of the German Cup, on Wednesday, by Holstein Kiel, opponents in the second division.
The German newspaper, “Bild”, shed light on the reaction of the 31-year-old German striker, during an interview with the channel ARD TV, right after the end of the match, when asked about the mood of the Bayern locker room, Mueller angrily responded to the reporter, saying, “You’re laughing here now!”
The correspondent denied what Mueller said, to the latter interrupting her by saying: “Of course you laughed, what do you think? We certainly feel sad, and this is something you can imagine, because the mood of the team is not good.”
“In the end we lost to a team like Keel, who gave everything they owned on the pitch,” he added.
The record holder in the number of titles in the competition (20 titles) was knocked out early, after he was defeated by penalties (6-5), after the original and extra time ended with a draw (2-2).
The hopes of Bayern Munich, the record holder in the number of titles in the competition (20 titles), were evaporated, in a repeat of the three consecutive seconds by leaving the local cup competition.
