From January 22 to April 10, Expo 2020 Dubai will open the doors of the sustainability pavilion “Terra” (meaning planet Earth) to the public. The pavilion is an icon of sustainable practices and solutions that Dubai will present to the world after the event ends, and the cost of establishing the pavilion is one billion dirhams. It will be followed later in the first quarter of this year by the Mobility Pavilion “Alef” and the Opportunity Pavilion “The World of Opportunities”. Tickets for visiting the three Expo Themes pavilions can be booked now through an online link dedicated to booking, and the cost of each visit is 25 dirhams.
Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau, said during a tour of local and international media in the Sustainability Pavilion yesterday: “We are pleased to launch the year 2021 in a positive way, by welcoming the UAE community to be the first to explore Terra-Pavilion. Sustainability, in times our history has never seen before, in terms of its impact on humanity.
She added, “We remember 2020 as the year that turned our lives upside down forever. However, it gave the global community a tremendous opportunity to unite and find solutions to our most pressing challenges.” The sustainability pavilion tells its visitors the story of humans’ relationship with nature.
