Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that his country will soon impose more steps to restrict travel abroad as part of the anti-Corona virus campaign.
And Trudeau had previously said that one of the options would be to require passengers arriving from abroad to spend a 14-day quarantine period in a hotel at their own expense.
And Canadian Border Services Agency data, seen by Reuters, showed that Canada deported 12,122 people in 2020, an increase of 875 over the previous year, and this is the largest number of deportees since at least 2015.
Canada had decided to suspend the deportations in March, but lifted the suspension at the end of November.
According to the World Meter website, which specializes in following up on the developments of the Corona pandemic, the total number of Corona cases in Canada is 754,751, and the total deaths amount to 19,301.
