Will the deal be done soon ..
The Barcelona administration has advanced negotiations with its French counterpart in Nice regarding contracting defender Jean-Claire Todibo on loan during the current transfer period.
Todibo was loaned from the start of the season to Benfica, but the Portuguese club requested that this loan be cut due to the very modest technical returns provided by the player.
According to reports from Spanish newspapers, negotiations are at an advanced stage between Nice and Barcelona, with him initially moving on loan with a very important purchase option for the Catalan club.
It is expected that the value of the purchase option in the loan contract will range between 10 to 12 million euros, an amount that Barcelona badly needs in order to restore the club economically in light of the current crisis.
In any case, and despite his failed experience with Benfica and before that with Schalke, the French defender enjoys interest from some Italian clubs, as well as arriving at Barça, already on loan from Saint-Etienne.
The Barcelona administration places getting rid of Todibo as a priority these days, on the one hand it has no place in the Camp Nou in light of Coman being completely unconvinced about it, and on the other hand the club must find a way out of the current economic crisis.
It is worth noting that Todibo, who is currently 21 years old, arrived in Barcelona from Toulouse, France in 2019 for a million euros, then was loaned six months later to Schalke and from there this season to Benfica.
