The UAE Boxing Federation received an official invitation from its Croatian counterpart to set up a closed camp for the national team in the capital, Zagreb, next February.
Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Emirates Boxing Federation, confirmed that the invitation comes within the framework of cooperation between the UAE and Croatian Federations, which was crystallized by a partnership agreement during the Croatian Federation’s visit to Abu Dhabi on August 23, 2020, indicating that this invitation will be sent accompanied by the formation of the mission. The proposal is submitted to the General Sports Authority and other competent authorities to obtain official approvals for the establishment of the camp in preparation for participating in the Paris Qualifying Station for the Tokyo Olympics, scheduled to be held next May.
Mohamed Mosbeh Al-Shibli, the coach of the national team, confirmed that the Paris qualifying station is an important goal for the team, and that he is awaiting the approval of the competent authorities to participate in the Croatia foreign camp due to its importance to the team, especially that it will conduct joint training and matches over a period of two weeks with the strong and internationally ranked Croatian team, and that this camp will take into account the application The highest standards of prevention and precautionary measures, and its importance lies in the fact that it comes after a long hiatus from international participation, and it will also be the best preparation for players and players before the Paris tour.
