The Court of Appeal in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, on Wednesday morning, sentenced the Moroccan artist, Donia Batmeh, to 12 months in prison.
On July 30, 2020, the Court of First Instance in Marrakech had sentenced Batma to 8 months in prison, before issuing the Marrakech appeal, on Wednesday morning, to add 4 months in force, to reach the prison term valid for 12 months.
This ruling was issued against Batma, as part of her follow-up on charges of participating in entering the automated data processing system by fraud and deliberately participating in obstructing the functioning of this system, disturbing it and changing its treatment method.
Batmah was also convicted of broadcasting and distributing through the information systems the statements and photos of people without their consent, and broadcasting false facts with the intent to harm the private life of people with the intention of defaming them, participating in this, threatening and obstructing the functioning of this system. “Sky News Arabia”
