Major General Muhammad bin Zuwaid Al-Nafiei died yesterday (Wednesday), the commander of the special forces that cleansed the Grand Mosque from the control of the Juhayman Al-Otaibi group, in 1400 AH (1979 AD).
Major General Al-Nafiei is one of the most prominent and famous personalities that have passed through the history of the Saudi army, where his life was crowned with great success and achievements, in which he exerted dear and precious efforts to protect the homeland and the citizen.
The deceased was born in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in 1364 AH and lived his childhood there. At the beginning of his formation he played in Al-Wehda Club in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and won many medals.
He moved to Riyadh after joining the Saudi army, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in military sciences, and he is also known for his love of poetry and love for Arabic literature.
