MotoGP World Championship: 2021 season kicks off with two races in Qatar

(MENAFN – Alghad Newspaper) Paris – The International Motorcycle Federation announced Friday that the 2021 MotoGP World Championship season will start with two races in Qatar in March and April.
Losail Circuit will host the night races on March 28 and April 4, after which riders will move to the Algrave circuit in the Portuguese Grand Prix on the 18th of the same month.
Portugal will be the third race on the calendar, which consists of 19 races, after the Argentina and United States awards, which were scheduled to be held on April 11 and 18, were postponed to the “last quarter of 2021” due to the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus.
The season ends at the Valencia Grand Prix in Spain on November 14, when the calendar included five additional races for the year 2020 affected by the pandemic, and with its end, Spain’s Joan Mir, the Suzuki driver, was crowned champion.
