The draw for the group stage of the African Champions League was held today, Friday, at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football in Cairo.
Al-Ahly, the most-crowned CAF Champions League with 9 times, holds the title of the last edition of the tournament after its victory over Zamalek in the final match with two goals to a goal at the end of last November.
Al-Ahly club came in the first group, with the Congolese Vita Club, Simba Tanzania and Al-Merrekh of Sudan.
The other Egyptian actor, Zamalek, came in Group D, with Senegalese teams, Mouloudia Algeria, and Esperance, Tunisia.
The first round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League is scheduled to take place on February 12 and 13, and the group stage will be concluded next April.

The first group: Al-Merrikh Al-Sudani – Simba of Tanzania – Vita Club Congolese – Al-Ahly
the second group: Algeria’s Belouizdad Youth – The Sudanese Crescent – Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa – The Congolese Mazembe
Group III: Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa – Petro Atlético of Angola – Huria Conakry of Guinea – Wydad Oval Moroccan.
Group 4: Senegalese Tongue – MC Algiers Algeria – Zamalek – Esperance Sports Club of Tunisia.
