Italy records a decline in the daily index of injuries and deaths in Corona

Today, Sunday, the Italian Ministry of Health announced that it had recorded 18,627 infections and 361 new deaths from the Coronavirus in the country, which represents a decline for both indicators.

The Italian Ministry of Health stated, in a new statistic, that the number of registered infections with the emerging corona virus “COVID-19” in Italy during the past 24 hours increased by 18627 cases, bringing the general number to the level of 2276491.

Italy is thus witnessing a decline in the daily injuries index, which reached on January 6, 20331 cases, on January 7, 18020, on January 8, 17533, and on January 9, 19978.

The ministry also added that it had detected 361 new deaths due to the disease, bringing the number of pandemic victims in the country to 78,755.

And the death index from the virus in the data on January 6 reached 548 cases, on January 7, 414, on January 8, 620, and on January 9, 493.

She explained that the number of people recovering from the disease is currently 1617,804 people, after 11,174 cases of recovery have been monitored, while the case of 579,932 people is still active.

Italy is the eighth country in the world in terms of the outcome of infection with the Coronavirus, while the country has the sixth highest death toll from the disease.

On December 27, 2020, Italy, along with the rest of the European Union, launched a mass vaccination campaign against the emerging corona virus.
