Lazio reached the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia soccer competition, after a difficult 2-1 win over Parma on Thursday, thanks to a goal by the last Areen goalkeeper Simone Colombi, by mistake.
Lazio opened the scoring with a header by midfielder Marco Barolo, in the 23rd minute, after a cross from Andreas Pereira.
But Parma kept pressing until Valentan Mihalya equalized, 7 minutes before the end of normal game time.
At the time when the match was breathing its last, heading to the extension, the header of Lazio striker, Vedat Muriqui, came in the 90th minute, hitting the crossbar and bouncing back with Parma goalkeeper, Simone Colombi, and hugging his net, announcing a fatal victory for Lazio.
Lazio will play in the quarter-finals, with Atalanta next Wednesday.
