The first half of the match between Denmark and Qatar ended with the European team leading 17-12.

Argentina decided the victory over Japan by four goals, after the first half ended in its favor 17-13, to raise its score to four points in third place, compared to one point for Japan in fifth place.

In Group A, the Hungarian national team continued their lead by defeating Brazil 29-23 in the first round of the main round of the tournament.
