China pledges to give the Philippines 500,000 doses of Corona vaccine

The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs announced that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has pledged to give the Philippines 500,000 doses of an anti-Corona vaccine.

“As friends of the Philippines, we will stand firmly with the Filipino people until we defeat the Corona virus,” Wang said during his meeting with his Filipino counterpart Teodoro Luxen in Manila.

For his part, Luxen said: “Close cooperation to overcome the epidemic has strengthened relations and deepened friendship between the two countries,” noting that cooperation in economic projects and infrastructure has been resumed.

The Philippine Foreign Ministry announced that Wang had pledged 500,000 doses of anti-corona vaccine, without mentioning the type of vaccine.
