According to the Times of India, the study examined the data and cases of more than 43,800 adults between the ages of 18 and 94, and analyzed data and health changes over several years.
Researchers have found that diet has an important role to play in relation to Parkinson’s disease, and they note that it actually helps lower the risk of neurological disorders, such as this disease, especially when it comes to vitamins C and E.
The researchers note that boosting the consumption of foods rich in vitamins C and E helps prevent Parkinson’s in later life, meaning that both vitamins provide long-term protection from disease.
The most prominent natural sources of vitamin C include citrus fruits, guava, kiwi, peppers, broccoli, mustard, spinach, and papaya.
Top sources of vitamin E also include seeds such as sunflower and pumpkin seeds, as well as almonds, nuts, red peppers, salmon, red meat, tomatoes, and broccoli as well.
