The Institute for Leadership Development announced the launch of the Saudi National Training Program, which was scheduled to start during the first quarter of this year 2021 for ten sports represented in basketball, volleyball, water, swimming, judo, fencing, tennis, gymnastics, handball, and badminton. The activation of this type of program also comes within the objectives of the Quality of Life Program, one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs, through the initiative to implement and develop the National Training Strategy.
Through the program, the institute seeks to establish a national training framework by preparing basic curricula in sports and training sciences, as well as specialized courses for the aforementioned sports. Training programs will be implemented through two tracks, basic courses and three-level specialized courses, for national coaches in all sports.
The program aims to prepare a professional generation of national coaches and to define an approved training path for each sport in addition to raising the competence of the national trainer through the basic and specialized courses that he will obtain through joining the program.
