Technical accounts circulated an audio recording attributed to the Syrian director, Hatem Ali, and it was said that it was his last before his death, as he sent it to his friend, the Jordanian director, Samer Jabr.
Hatem Ali says in the audio recording: “Hello Samer. Good morning, my love. We are here. You just know the time, but I am very healthy.”
He added, “I am in Montreal, OK, sitting in stone, waiting for something to happen on this planet so that we know we will work.”
The audience was affected by hearing Hatem’s last audio message, especially the phrase “Waiting for something to happen on this planet,” and what happened was that he passed away at the end of 2020.
Hatem Ali died of a heart attack in Cairo on Tuesday 29 December at the age of 58. His body was buried in the Syrian capital, Damascus, after his arrival from Cairo.
After the death of Hatem Ali, the pioneers of the communication sites re-circulated a video from one of the episodes of the series “What ends with our stories”, in which he predicted his death and the place of his burial.
