Within the framework of strengthening the historical relations between the two countries, and laying out a long-term roadmap for it, on Jumada Al-Awwal 24, 1438 corresponding to February 21, 2017, the work of the exceptional joint retreat between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates began under the name « The Resolve Retreat », based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
