The Director of Research, Studies and Data Analysis, Khaled Al-Jallaf, said that the symposium reviewed the results of the health survey for Dubai residents in 2019 on diabetes, which was carried out by the authority in cooperation with the Dubai Statistics Center, which showed that the prevalence of diabetes among adults of the population of Dubai is 13.7%, and the percentage of People in pre-disease and at risk of developing diabetes 16.2% of the adult population in the emirate.
The results revealed that the prevalence of diabetes among citizens is 19.3%, which is higher compared to residents (12.4%), while the percentage of those exposed to infection was 17.1%, which is higher than the percentage of citizens (12%).
