Egyptian artist Mohamed Abdel Halim responded to the circulation of his image in the street below the Al-Malek Al-Saleh Bridge, claiming that he was without shelter.
He said in statements to the “Masrawy” website, saying: “The words in the picture are not correct, I am fine, and a job is being offered to me. Still, the producer, Mamdouh Shaheen, spoke to me the past week, God willing, to work soon.”
The son of the artist, Mohamed Abdel Halim, added: “My father was sitting at his house, and indeed it is near the tunnel of the good king, but he was Beshm Hoa, but he is fine and the girl asked to imagine with him only, the words that are written by this is not true.”
Social media activists shared a picture of the artist, Mohamed Abdel Halim, sitting in the street, after a girl took a picture with him.
And a number of stars re-posted the photo, on Facebook: “The girl said she was talking on the mobile phone, she met this beautiful man, we drove her and said to her, you don’t walk on the mobile phone like that, and I walk on the sidewalk if you want to talk, standing beside me talking or on the side.”
The post added: “He told her,“ Ante Arefani, ”she told him of course and asked to picture with him. She is asking if someone knows a way out or what one can occupy him. He is sitting along at the righteous king’s tunnel.
A number of stars called for an intervention to save the artist, Mohamed Abdel-Helem, from unemployment and neglect.
