Chinese wearable manufacturer Huami launched its brand of wearable devices called Zepp in September, to meet the needs of the premium smartwatch sector.
The Zepp brand debuts with two mid-range smartwatches – Zepp E Square and Zepp E Circle.
And the Zepp E-series – at $ 249 – offered more premium design than its Amazfit counterparts, along with the same set of fitness tracking features.
The new Zepp Z smartwatch comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED circular screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and an always-on function.
The screen covers 100 percent of the NTSC color gamut and delivers a maximum brightness of 550 nits.
The watch face is surrounded by two buttons and a classic crown within the right edge that features haptic feedback, giving you control over all of its features.
The company has provided the Zepp Z watch with a wide range of sensors that allow all fitness tracking features.
This includes the BioTracker 2 PPG sensor, the geomagnetic sensor, the direction finding sensor, the air pressure sensor, and more.
Fitness tracking features include 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep tracking, stress monitoring and 12 sports modes.
The smartwatch also features a PAI health rating system to help users easily understand their fitness tracking data.
The smartwatch is equipped with GPS and GLONASS positioning system, and is 5ATM water resistant.
It is also equipped with a battery with a capacity of 340 mAh that allows the watch to work for 15 days on a single charge, and it is assumed that the watch is equipped with a power saving mode, while the process of charging fully 2.5 hours.
Much like the Amazfit GTS 2 and Amazfit GTR 2, the Zepp Z comes with Alexa integration from Amazon and also comes with more than 50 digital watch faces.
The Zepp Z is priced at about $ 349, and is offered for sale on the company’s website, and is available in one color with a brown leather strap.
