Ukrainian weightlifter, Alexei Novikov, won the World’s Strongest Man competition, held in the USA, and was named the strongest man for 2020.
The 24-year-old lifted the title, becoming the youngest winner of the title of strongest man in the world in history, surpassing Britain’s Tom Stultman and Canadian Jean-Francois Carona, who finished second and third respectively.
Novikov set a world record in the deadlift during the competition, where he managed to lift 537.5 kg, to apply to the Guinness Book of Records to officially record his achievement.
