The Tunisian film “ Fataria ” wins the special prize of the jury at the Maghreb Film Festival in Oujda


The Tunisian film “ Fataria ”, directed by Walid Taya, was crowned with the special prize of the jury for the feature film at the closing activities of the Maghreb Film Festival in Oujda, on Sunday evening, November 29th, in its ninth session, which was held for the first time digitally.

The short fictional film, “ Perfume ” by Moroccan director Hussein Shaani, was also crowned with the grand prize, and the special prize of the jury was awarded to the film “ Spacetime Spectrum ” by Moroccan director Karim Tejawout, while the directing prize returned to the tape “ TRUE STORY ” by the Tunisian director. The Moroccan tape “Blessed”, directed by Mohamed Zinedine, won the grand prize for the feature film, while the directorial prize went to the Moroccan film “For the Cause” by Hassan Benjelloun.

It is noteworthy that the jury of the festival in this session consists of Tunisian actress Aisha bin Ahmed, Mauritanian director Sidi Mohamed Chikr, Algerian actress Rim Takochet, and Libyan director Osama Rizk members, and is headed by Moroccan director Abdel Salam El-Kalaie.
