Barcelona soccer club, its former Brazilian star Neymar da Silva, has threatened to go to court if it does not return ten million euros.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Barcelona discovered a mistake in the tax accounts, related to the need to pay Neymar an additional amount of ten million euros.
She explained that “Barca” considers that he paid an additional ten million euros to the “Seleção” star during his defense of the club’s colors between 2013 and 2017, in relation to the withholding fees.
The newspaper indicated that if the Brazilian rejected Barcelona’s request, the matter would be escalated to court.
This is a new episode in a long series between Barcelona and Neymar about contractual disputes, since the latter’s departure from the Spanish club, where the 28-year-old had also filed a lawsuit for late dues, but he lost the case, and instead the authorities ordered him to pay Barcelona 6.7 million euros.
It is worth noting that Neymar left Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, for 222 million euros, registering the most expensive deal in football history.
