Referring 11 Pakistani citizens and residents to the concerned authorities to complete the procedures against them

The Special Forces for Environmental Security seized 11 citizens and residents of Pakistani nationality in possession of (16) tons of local firewood prepared for sale in the city of Riyadh. This was due to their violation of the grazing and forestry system prohibiting tree cutting, and the instructions that prohibit the sale or transfer of local firewood.

This comes within the framework of the campaign carried out by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Special Forces for Environmental Security, in following up the activities of marketing, selling or transporting local firewood, and what is published in this field through various electronic platforms.

The spokesman for the Special Forces for Environmental Security, Major Raed Al-Maliki, stated that the violators have been referred to the concerned authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.

Al-Maliki stressed that the forces follow up the activities of marketing, selling or transporting local firewood, and what is published in this regard through various electronic platforms, and taking regular measures against violators in coordination with the relevant security sectors and the competent authorities at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

And I call upon citizens and residents to abide by their responsibilities in preserving the nation’s environmental capabilities, and not to violate the grazing and forestry system by cutting trees. Due to the damage it causes to natural resources, pasture lands and forests, and the initiative to report all those who do so or to trade in local wood.
