Paris is in the hospitality of the principality

The match that brings together the French capital, Paris, with the Principality of Monaco, is one of the most prominent French summits that have “run” in recent years, specifically in the period between 2015 and 2017, when Monaco imposed itself as a major competitor for the title.Despite the lack of expectations, Monaco snatched the French League title from the Parisians in 2017, but then took a completely different approach after the administration abandoned the team’s most prominent stars without proper compensation. The management’s failure was not limited to mishandling of the players, but was manifested at the leadership level, after the team’s technical bar was attended by 5 coaches within two years, the last of whom was the Croatian Niko Kovac, who succeeded Robert Moreno.
The latter was the former coach of the Spanish national team, and he came at the head of the technical bar for the emirate team in order to correct things, but the circumstances did not serve him. Monaco ranked ninth in the French League with Moreno, 28 points behind Paris Saint-Germain, who was crowned champion of the competition, after ending the season prematurely due to the Corona virus pandemic, so he was sacked.
After that, the management appointed the Croatian Niko Kovac as the new coach of the team, and with Monaco, he achieved an inconsistent start in the league this season, winning five matches, tied twice and losing three of his ten games that were played.
Monaco is currently ranked sixth, 7 points behind the Parisian leader and one point behind the European seats, as it enters the upcoming meeting with high spirits. After the defeat away to Brest (1-0) and away from home in Lyon (4-1), Monaco managed to achieve two successive victories that came against Bordeaux (4-0) and Nice (2-1), respectively.

Paris Saint-Germain has won eight consecutive Ligue 1 matches

Winning tomorrow’s match will give Kovac’s men a moral dose to go ahead and try to finish the season between the big four, but that will not be easy when he faces the Champions League runner-up.
For its part, Paris Saint-Germain is still the best local club, as it occupies the lead until the tenth round with 24 points, 5 points away from the closest pursuers.
The start was not perfect for the Parisians this season. After losing the Champions League final to Bayern Munich, PSG started its season in the league with two defeats. Since then, Paris Saint-Germain has won eight consecutive Ligue 1 matches. The team scored 26 goals and conceded only three goals, and its last four victories have seen clean sheets.
Local titles are the goal of the “traditional” team, but the dream remains focused on the Champions League, as the coach seeks to finish matters early in the league to devote himself to his European entitlements.
German coach Thomas Tuchel suffers from some injuries in the back line, as in the upcoming match, he will miss Juan Bernat and Tilo Kahrer. Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler are expected to be absent in midfield and Mauro Icardi in attack as well, and Neymar’s participation in the offensive line is also suspected after he missed Brazil’s previous matches.
For his part, Monaco will be without Robin Aguilar in the right-back position due to suspension, and without Benjamin Lycomet and Pietro Pellegri injured.
The two teams met on 56 occasions, which witnessed the victory of Paris Saint-Germain (21-19) for 16 draws, and most of the victories of the Parisian club came in recent seasons. Tomorrow’s match will give a more comprehensive picture of the emirate club’s readiness to go ahead with its new coach, in the most difficult domestic test against the French league giants.
