News 24 | The Red Sea Project: We plan to open 16 hotels … and receive 300,000 tourists annually

The CEO of the tourism project, implemented by the Red Sea Development Company, John Pagano, confirmed that the project plans to open 16 hotels by the end of 2023.

He explained that the number of hotels is two more than the initial plan in the first phase, expecting a rapid recovery in global tourism once the Coronavirus pandemic recedes.

Pagano pointed out, according to “Reuters” agency that the project aims during the first phase to attract 300 thousand tourists annually, following the decline of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The project, owned by the Public Investment Fund, aims to develop luxury resorts on 50 islands off the coast of the Red Sea, which are surrounded by coral reefs, enabling tourists to practice diving and visit nature reserves and archaeological sites.
