The King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival, in its third edition, was launched today, organized by the Saudi Falcon Club, in the festival land in Malham (north of Riyadh), and will continue until December 12, with the participation of a group of Saudi and international falconers.
On its first day, the festival witnessed a remarkable turnout from hawk enthusiasts and lovers of originality and heritage of different ages and groups, amid a tight organization that met with the approval of the attendees, as the festival management is keen to implement strict precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of the participants and protect them from the emerging Corona virus (Covid 19), And taking a set of measures that included sterilization and cleaning after each round of the Al Mallwah competition.
The Saudi Falcon Club announced the allocation of more than 22.7 million riyals in cash prizes to the winners of the Al-Malwah and Al-Mazayin competitions, which are held within the festival’s activities.
In its previous two editions, the festival succeeded in entering the “Guinness Book” of world records in terms of the number of falcons participating in it. It is also highly trusted by falconers and lovers of this authentic heritage hobby, locally and in the Gulf, to preserve this authentic cultural and heritage that the Saudis are proud of.
