Economist / Saudi Center for Financial Review and Performance Control concludes the “Fundamentals of Government Accounting” program in Tabuk

The Saudi Center for Financial Review and Performance Control at the General Accounting Bureau concluded today the training program “Fundamentals of Government Accounting” for employees of government agencies in the Tabuk region, which was held at the Diwan branch in the region.
The Counselor and Director General of the Center, Dr. Salem bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, explained that the program aims to help government agencies overcome the most prominent challenges by preparing human cadres for the transformation project to the basis of entitlement, indicating that the program included the definition of the transformation project to the application of international accounting standards in the government sector. And a statement of how to apply the accrual basis and present the financial statements, as well as the governmental accounting procedures, the state budget, the accounting treatment of government accounts, and the final report of the accounts.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi indicated that the General Bureau of Accountancy plays a fundamental role with the ministries overseeing the project through its membership in the executive and directive committees of the transformation to the merit basis, stressing that the Saudi Center for Financial Review and Performance Control at the Bureau continues to provide training programs in accordance with the plans set for qualifying national cadres in The Bureau and the entities covered by its control in the fields of accounting in line with the project of transition to the accrual basis of accounting and the application of international accounting standards in the public sector.
