Reports revealed that the American company Apple has started testing its foldable phones, which will be launched in 2022, as it sent a number of prototypes of phones to its main factory in China, Foxconn, to carry out a number of tests to complete the production processes. The foldable iPhone is bound to have OLED or Micro-LED display technology, as it will have two separate display screens connected by a hinge instead of a single screen like the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The iPhone’s foldable body will have round edges of stainless steel, similar to iPhone 11, in addition to a notch on the external screen of Face ID, and Apple had patented the phone when it was introduced in 2016.

The iPhone foldable phone is tested by opening and closing the screens between about 20 thousand and 30 thousand times, in order to ensure its efficiency to work, and to know the problems it faces, and more than 100 thousand units of phones are tested.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, as it came with an external screen measuring 6.23 inches of Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2267 x 819 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and the internal screen measuring 7.6 inches of type Dynamic AMOLED 2X, and a resolution of display 2213 x 1689, at a refresh rate of 120 Hz per second, a triple main camera with a resolution of 64 megapixels, a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh, supports fast wireless charging of 25 watts.
