Announcing the Redmi Note 9 5G series – a cheap experience with 5G connectivity

The famous Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi, has revealed its latest smartphones, which first come with 5G connectivity, namely Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.

The two new phones differ from the Note 9 and Note 9 Pro, which support 4G technology, which were released earlier this year, as the two new phones offer a 5G connectivity experience with a fast processor and an improved camera.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G

The new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor and its X52 modem, which supports 5G connectivity, with two options of RAM, which are 6 or 8 GB RAM, and two options of storage capacity are 128 and 256 GB, expandable.

The phone screen is distinctive, measuring 6.67 inches with a resolution of 1080 pixels, and supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is adaptable between 30 Hz to 120 Hz depending on use, and the phone has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection layer from the front and back.

Moving to the camera unit on the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, we find distinctive quad camera settings inside a circular design in the middle of the back of the phone from the top.

Enjoy this camera sensor ISOCELL HM2, which is Samsung’s third sensor with a precision of 108 megapixels, and although it is smaller than the sensor HM1 used in the Galaxy S20 Ultra, it supports the technology “9 x 1” pixels found in the pioneer of Samsung. This is in contrast to previous Xiaomi phones that support 4 pixels per pixel “4 x 1” technology.

The actual pixel size here is 2.1μm, which is higher than the 1.6μm on the HMX sensor that Xiaomi was using before.

This camera also supports Dual Native ISO technology and a new improved Night Mode, providing a better low-light photography experience.

As for the rest of the camera settings, we find an 8-megapixel “ultrawide” ultra-wide-angle sensor with a resolution of 120 degrees, along with a macro sensor, and you will feel the depth of both of them with a resolution of 2 megapixels.

Unfortunately, the camera settings are missing a telephoto camera, but the main high-resolution lens can offer up to 3x digital zoom.

As for the selfie camera, it is located inside a small hole at the top of the screen and has a resolution of 16 megapixels.

The phone is equipped with a large 4820 mAh battery, supports 33W fast charging, and according to the company it can charge from 0% to 100% in just 58 minutes.

The new Redmi phone has 11 antenna sensors in the body of the phone to ensure good reception of 5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals.

As for the other specs, we find NFC and IR blaster connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a stereo speaker.
